On the 8th of June 2010, Google officially announced the replacement of their search index with Caffeine, a new search index that they had been testing for months now. So…?
This update means that Google will index results even faster and more accurately. Good news! Google says that this index is 50 percent faster than the previous index as illustrated here:

And allows for fresher content as the index is continuously updating.

Google’s persistence to improve the user experience has resulted in cutting edge real time search.
We need to make sure that the Website’s content is relevant to the site’s core theme. Keeping content fresh and updated is key and don’t write rubbish.
Meta data needs to be correctly formatted and must contain the relevant information like unique Titles and Descriptions for every page. Use tools to check them – Google Webmaster tools contains an HTML suggestions feature which is handy in this respect.
Although download speed isn’t high on the criteria for ranking, Google has included good download speeds as part of the ranking process so keep Flash and heavy scripts and code to a minimum – no one, including Search Engines, want to have to wait to see your site! It can’t be said enough, focus on high quality, relevant external inbound links and not so much on the quantity. Think of links as a vote, each link counts as a vote for your site so it is important that that vote is a good one.
If you haven’t already thought about Social Media Marketing, you better start. We don’t suggest delving into every social fad, but you have to consider different forms and include it as a part of your digital strategy. So much of the internet is focused around communities, and people would rather trust their friend than a complete stranger.
